To reflect and... Act
The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country.
This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt, that are more than 2000 years old and are poor. On the other hand, Canada, Australia & New Zealand, that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries and are rich. The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in the available natural resources.
Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw material from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.
Another example is Switzerland, which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate of the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil during 4 months per year. Not enough, they produce dairy products of the best quality. It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world’s strong safe.
Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.
Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.
What is the difference then?
The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture.
On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority follow the following principles in their lives: 1. Ethics, as a basic principle. 2. Integrity. 3. Responsibility. 4. Respect to the laws & rules. 5. Respect to the rights of other citizens. 6. Work loving. 7. Strive for saving & investment. 8. Will of super action. 9. Punctuality.
In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life. We are not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us.
We are poor because we lack attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.
If you do not forward this message nothing will happen to you. Your pet will not die, you will not be fired, you will not have bad luck for seven years and also you will not get sick.
If you love your country, let this message circulate for a major quantity of people could reflect about this &
CHANGE, ACT!!

Cheer Up guys
India has lost the match and not the series. The Series is drawn and yes we wanted a big 3-0 win but then it was not to be.
Imagine only one century from Indians in a three match series being played in India. There are lot of positives for me from this series.
1. The pitches were excellent. There was swing and bounce in mostly all the pitches(This should make our batsmen play better in England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indises etc).
2. If we still have people who dont have the technique to play on such wickets we will get people from the domestic leagues.
3. The pace battery of the Indians was the best I have seen ever since I have followed cricket. We will learn to pick those faster edges in due course(We are not used to catching edges coming at those speeds).
4. The fire has been ignited by this defeat. With Sachin not there and Sehwag injured (My bhavishyavani) we will have the opportunity to play many more youngster. (If R P Singh, Shree Santh and Munaf have the ability to rise to the occasion, we will have a few batters soon- Raina has already done it twice)
There will be many more pluses if we really ponder.
So cheerup Guys.
We are moving in forward direction. And results will show soon.
Its better to fight out in every tour than to win 3-0 in India and lose 3-0 else where.

English Like it UP
There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is "UP."
It is easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP ? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP ? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report ?
We call UP our friends. And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car.
At other times the little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP . We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.
We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP! To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP , look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP , you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP .
When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP.
When it doesn't rain for a while, things dry UP .
One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP ,
for now my time is UP, so........... it is Time to shut UP.....!

Death of bowlers from one day cricket
It was wonderful to see Australia demolish the South Africans and make 434 and its was icing on the cake for cricket lovers world over and South Africans in particular to see their team acheive that target. The trashing that bowlers received from most of the batsmen was a really sorry sight though. A bowler of the class of Brett Lee, Makhaya Ntini etc can destroy a complete side on a fast swinging wicket were reduced to shambles. If one day cricket goes on similar pitches, I am afraid sooner than latter, how good a bowler is, will be like a picther in a Base Ball game and all the batsmen like the blind hitters with no class. There will be no Rahul Dravid, Marvan Attapattu, Mohd. Azharuddin, VVS Laxman, Michael Vaughan, Mohd. Kaif etc. in the one day format. But the moment the slam bang side is put to a wicket which sometimes erratically is created by the curator, they will be hard pressed to score even 1/5th of what they are capable on a flat wicket. (Remember the second onedayer where Australia were bowled out for 90 odd). This also explain that a player like Michael Bevan who was just great in the oneday format was nothing when it came to Test Cricket. For the sake of even cricket do not kill Bowlers. I just dread to even think of a Brett Lee/ Shoaib Akhtar/Makhaya Ntini/Shane Bond delivery delivered at a good length just outside the off stump at 145 kms/hour and still dispatched to the fence. We may love it for some days but then it will become a boring predictable game. Please save the bowlers, someone.(And the tag "Cricket is a game of uncertainities")

Munaaf made my adrenaline flow today
I am a medium fast bowler, nearing 35 years and have always thought why we cannot have bowlers in the range of 140 km/hr and above on a consistent basis? Why we could not have a bowler who swings when the ball is new and reverses it when it gets older.? Why we cannot have somebody behind whom we can shout on top of our voice when he is running in to bowl? Munaf is close to delivering what I have been dreaming for the last 15 years. And I would love to have VRV, Shreesanth, Abid Nabi or others competing and overpassing him soon. Oh! I would just love to have an Indian Team's trip to New Zealand where they made those fast wickets for our batmen and were laughing with a 5-2 victory. This time let us make them feel sorry for making such wickets as they feel when Australia and South Africa visit them. Keep it going all those lovers of Indian cricket who have suddenly risen from favourism and biased and are picking and pushing every possible talent available in the country. We shall soon have a few Brett Lee / Shoaib Akhtar in our ranks too. I love this new Indian day.
