There are lot of positives for me from this series.

1. The pitches were excellent. There was swing and bounce in mostly all the pitches(This should make our batsmen play better in England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indises etc).

2. If we still have people who dont have the technique to play on such wickets we will get people from the domestic leagues.

3. The pace battery of the Indians was the best I have seen ever since I have followed cricket. A bowler of the class of Brett Lee, Makhaya Ntini etc can destroy a complete side on a fast swinging wicket were reduced to shambles. If one day cricket goes on similar pitches, I am afraid sooner than latter, how good a bowler is, will be like a picther in a Base Ball game and all the batsmen like the blind hitters with no class.
There will be no Rahul Dravid, Marvan Attapattu, Mohd. Azharuddin, VVS Laxman, Michael Vaughan, Mohd. Kaif etc. in the one day format. But the moment the slam bang side is put to a wicket which sometimes erratically is created by the curator, they will be hard pressed to score even 1/5th of what they are capable on a flat wicket. (Remember the second onedayer where Australia were bowled out for 90 odd). This also explain that a player like Michael Bevan who was just great in the oneday format was nothing when it came to Test Cricket.
For the sake of even cricket do not kill Bowlers.
I just dread to even think of a Brett Lee/ Shoaib Akhtar/Makhaya Ntini/Shane Bond delivery delivered at a good length just outside the off stump at 145 kms/hour and still dispatched to the fence.
We may love it for some days but then it will become a boring predictable game.
Please save the bowlers, someone.(And the tag "Cricket is a game of uncertainities")

Thankyou friends

Dear Friends,

Thanks a lot for accepting me as your friend.
I hope our association will make all of remain happy and united.

Regards,

Ehtesham

Munaaf made my adrenaline flow today

I am a medium fast bowler, nearing 35 years and have always thought why we cannot have bowlers in the range of 140 km/hr and above on a consistent basis?
Why we could not have a bowler who swings when the ball is new and reverses it when it gets older.?
Why we cannot have somebody behind whom we can shout on top of our voice when he is running in to bowl?
Munaf is close to delivering what I have been dreaming for the last 15 years.
